Here's Why

Septic systems are one of the last systems in a home or commercial operation whose care and maintenance are not often thought of.  However, without routine maintenance, your household and the environment come under threat of a toxic health hazard. To prevent hazardous waste material from polluting your environment or building up in your pipes, we're here to evaluate the efficiency of your system and monitor its long-term structural durability.

Septic Tank Pumping

A septic tank is a complex combination of biological decomposition processes paired with advanced technology. The result is a highly efficient system for wastewater removal. Each septic tank requires routine pumping to prevent sludge and scum from building up inside the tank, clogging the filter, and preventing effluent from reaching the drainage field. The consequences of neglect or improper care are the contamination of your soil, groundwater, home, and health.

How Does a Septic System Work?

With the right combination of bioactive decomposition and advanced technology, a septic system performs the remarkable task of transforming wastewater material into clean water that can return to groundwater or an aquifer. Pipes connect the house’s plumbing to the tank which acts as a natural separator for organic and inorganic materials. The watery effluent leaves the tank through a filter and enters the drainage field. Perforated pipes allow this effluent to slowly enter the soil body where beneficial bacteria can decompose waste materials for proper assimilation with the groundwater. Over time, the septic tank’s waste material builds up and needs to be pumped out to avoid the risk of overwhelming the tank and entering the leach field.

Alternative Septic Systems

There is a wide range of septic system designs for every different lot or need. We would be happy to help you choose the right system for your specific needs in design and permit to complete installation and use.

We can provide a complete septic design of the system that best suits your lot and building needs. We are also set up to complete and submit all necessary permits and applications required.

Installation

We are fully licensed by the Ministry Of Housing to install residential and commercial septic systems that include conventional and tertiary systems. As there are many different beds and treatment units available we would be there to assist in all maintenance and usage after completion.

Septic Repairs and Services

The septic tank is at risk for a number of common issues. Over time, the structure of the tank can lose its integrity and rust or crack. The perforated pipes in the leach field are at risk of being compromised due to the overgrowth of plant root systems or from an accidental digging into one of the pipelines. Some of the common signs that your septic system needs repair are: bubbling up wastewater in your drains or toilets, standing water near your septic tank, flooding of the leach field, foul odors near your septic tank, or slow draining water in your sink or bathroom. If any one of these warning signs is noticed, your system is in need of immediate attention and repair.

Maintenance and Inspections

Septic systems require routine inspections to monitor the integrity of the system. When you call us for an inspection, we’ll inform you if your tank is the appropriate size for your household’s water usage. We’ll also be sure to monitor your drainage field and advise you to be cautious about any impending factors that might damage your system. Once the septic tank is measured for the amount of sludge to effluent, we’ll inform you of the appropriate length of time until your next maintenance is required.
